When her terrified father is confronted by the monstrous Beast, Beauty bravely steps forward, greeting the creature with respect despite her fear. Impressed by her courage and willingness to take her father’s place, the Beast allows the merchant to leave at sunrise, accepting Beauty as his new guest.
